BUKIT KIARA – ONE OF THE LAST GREEN LUNGS OF KL
The densely forested Bukit Kiara was formerly a rubber estate of Ng Chin Siu & Sons Rubber Estates Ltd. Of the original 1,534 acre estate that was acquired by government in 1976, only about 400 acres is left for public use. Within the boundaries, you can find remnants of the rubber estate including old rubber trees and fruits, as well as escaped landscape plants that originated from the urbanised area the park is adjacent to.
