BUKIT KIARA – ONE OF LAST GREEN LUNGS OF KUALA LUMPUR

The densely forested Bukit Kiara was formerly a rubber estate of Ng Chin Siu & Sons Rubber Estates Ltd. Of the original 1,534 acre estate that was acquired by government in 1976, only about 400 acres is left for public use. Bukit Kiara is boasting with many jungle trails, pristine rivers and streams which offer abundant native wildlife. Its proximity to known commercial and housing complexes makes Bukit Kiara as one of the most favorite spots for weekend leisures. As the park is adjacent to urbanized areas, numbers of ornamental city landscape plants may escape to the forest area.
